Well last Wednesday night I decided it was time to try my hand at smoking a prime rib.  I was going to be out of town and figured that would be a great treat for the wife and kids.

I started out with a nice rub down with Worchestershire and then I coated it liberally with Tatonka Dust (I can't NOT use that on Red Meat)

Once I got the smoker running about 230 I put the roast in and let it cook for about 2.5 hours, then inserted my Maverick Remote Meat Probe and began the wait for an IT of 135

It ended up taking me right around 4.5hrs to achieve that

And of course the final shot, it was around 10PM when I was done with it so I took a small cut for myself and of course the Dino Bones!

I will definitely be doing this again, now I just need to wait for a sale.

Nice Job, Tr00ter!!!

Thanks all it was amazing!  My Mother in law said it was the best Prime rib she has ever had.......so a Major win there.

Moses, I HIGHLY recommend Tatonka Dust.  It is great on just about anything.
