High Temp Cheese Storage

Thread Starter

I just ordered 5 pounds from Butcher Packer.  I'm not going to use all of it at once.  Is it ok to freeze it and use it as I need it?

Thanks

No. You will need to vacuum seal and freeze. Without vacuum sealing the cheese will form ice crystals and dry out within 2 months and become gritty........ I know from experience

Thanks for the quick reply.  I have a vacumn sealer.  I have never used that kind of cheese before.  The price was only $25 for 5 pounds, but shipping was $10.  Just wanted to make sure it would still be good.
