I have searched Mail box mod and have really loved the pics posted of all the different designs shown in the posts.  I have a MES 30 with no vent holes anywhere.. front, back, sides, top.  Can someone point me to the actual build with some instructions on the process.. I have search builds as well, but just keep coming up with 20K plus threads to look at.  I would figure I am going to need a 2 or 3 inch hole saw to cut through the side of the smoker cabinet, but want to make sure I am thinking properly before hacking into my smoker and then realizing in an OH **** moment I have went too far.  Here is what I have by way of type of Masterbuilt.  Just a small hole on the back panel right at the top I guess is the only vent.. It is about 3/4 of an inch.. I can get more pics if needed.

Thanks

Morning...... first of all, that smoker you have is a MES Analog.... The MES 30 is a digitally controlled electric smoker..... Here is Solidbob and his mod..... I don't see any exhaust holes but they may be there... probably 4-6 each 3/4 - 1" holes drilled around the top of the side walls for adequate exhaust ventilation....

You are correct on the analog and not digital.. I will get some pics at lunch when I go home, but as far as I know there is only the one on the back side about 3/4 inch.  But thanks for the link.. I will take a look at it.

Here are some more pics of the smoker.. Notice the one small "vent" hole in the back.. All this being said, do you just hole saw through the side to insert the smoke pipe from the mail box?  And is there insulation you would be going through between the outside skin and the inside metal?  The link shows the finished product, but I would like to have a bit of instruction on going through the smoker wall.  Mail box part, smoke pipe from the mail box is all understood.  Just final step, and seems to be the most important step is where I am stuck.
