Hello Great Cookies and Happy Thursday to YOU!

From late night eggwhite omelets (and yes, yes, I eat MANY a whole egg as well, but sometimes like a light eggwhite omelet and as my 17th meal of the day you see), to wine on the porch yesterday with my dog....

A sleepless night made for mega eye bags and yet whenever I try to "alter" my photos, they look crazier than before even, and so "it is what it is!"

And simple grilled swordfish and grilled eggplant salad...

(This was yesterday's meal)...

And then today's grilled bluefish, red rice, and spinach salad dinner - simple as it was, I did adore it - I'm ready for some smoking and over this Father's Day weekend indeed!

Come Sunday, I am doing a "Surf & Turf" menu of sorts. And you? Please share your smokes, grills, sips, and sentiments this weekend HERE, in our wino group or in whichever thread here that you wish to start!

I love hearing about what everyone ate and drank, and so come forth!

Cheers and happy THURSDAY to you!!!!!!!!!!!! Make it amazing!!!!!!! - Leah

Bear

PS: Just got invited to Son's house for Father's Day----Delmonico and other unknowns.

Thank you Bear!!!!!!!!

And OOH Delmonicos!!!!!

For that alone, the day will be so very well!

Here's to you sharing that when able!!! How fun to see!

Meanwhile, here's to today!!!!!

Cheers! - Leah

Just chiming in and hoping that other so very wonderful winos will too!

Since last, I've had some sashimi grade salmon (my favorite really) that was barely seared, and then I paired this with brown rice this time and that was great!

And then another egg white omelet late day "extra meal" on top of all else!

And then some grilled octopus, and all of this paired with a Portuguese white wine blend that I enjoy as a "house" wine these days...

And YOU????

It is indeed time for me to smoke something, true be that, and so I am starting another thread momentarily to show today's smoke.

BUT, do share your father's day sips, smokes, and sentiments when you get a chance as it is so fun and this group is a good one!

Cheers! - Leah

We have a problem with special days. We make food we like every day. Not quite up to your works of art, Leah, but we sure like it. We are trying an enchilada casserole inspired by one of Case's smokes and I will be having a nice slightly sweet rose blend with it. The only thing that makes this day special is the memory of my dad. He was a welder/fitter who had a grade 8 education and wrote poetry. He was wise even though I didn't know it when he was alive. He died when I was 15 but he taught me values, compassion and humour.

Here's to all great fathers, great meals like the one in this post, wine and good times (he says sipping a bit of wine)!

Oh Disco, those are tremendous sentiments - from food to fathers and more!

And I would say indeed, that you did learn great values, compassion, and humor, and that your Dad thus lives on!

Thank you for your input here! Your enchilada doings sound really wonderful as well!

Happy new week and to all! Make it terrific!!!!!!!!!!!!

Cheers! - Leah
