I have a opportunity to but a 120gal liquid oxygen tank for $50. It is roughly 30" diameter and 42" in length. I would be building a reverse flow smoker with two racks and the top one removable with sausage hooks at the top.  I searched and have come up empty on a liquid oxygen tank for use as a smoker.  These tanks have been drained and I would appreciate any yay's or nay's on this idea.  Would one use the same fill with water and soap method before cutting?

Does it still have the insulation and outer shield wrapped around it? If so, you may be surprised to find the tank inside could be 304 stainless. I have one but I ended up paying 300 since mine is stainless but the guy had already stripped off the outer shell off of the inner tank. No cleanup will be necessary for an oxygen tank compared to Propane, just let it air out or blow compressed air inside for a few minutes.
