Hey gang just wanted to post my nephew's first pork butt with his rub mix and method. He's been smoking foods for a little less than a year and absolutely love's it. He's been asking to give it a try on his own so here goes. Started with 7.5 lb butt from our butcher a real beauty. He rubbed it with mustard and his own pork rub then into the fridge overnight. 9:30 am a little more rub and on the smoker for 5 hrs to an internal temp of 165 deg then wrapped in 3 layers of foil with Apple juice, brown sugar, honey, and squeeze butter, little more rub then back on smoker for 2.5 hours to an internal temp of 192 degrees wrapped in towels and placed it cooler for another 2.5 hours to rest. Came out fantastic I'm one proud uncle very juicy and tender he was so excited wants to join community so I'm posting for him now will register him this weekend. Will be doing a 14.5 lb brisket while camping. My brother says he talks BBQ 24/7 making him crazy lol. So please take a look and let him know what you think thanks gang.:yahoo: Sorry order mixed up and was so excited forgot to take prep pic only thing he couldn't do was pull it to hot for young hands lol.:grilling_smilie:
