Hey guys, just wanted to introduce myself. My name is Kyle, and I live in Cheyenne, Wyoming. I am very new to smoking, and just bought my first smoker this past weekend at a garage sale. I picked up an MES 30 for 20 dollars. I have been looking around for smokers for a while on craigslist, so when I saw this deal, I had to grab it. I don't intend to do anything major right now, but the last few days, I have found some good buy 1 get 2 free deals on chicken quarters, so I have loaded up the freezer with those. I hope to smoke up some trout in the winter, and hopefully I can bag an elk this fall and smoke up some roasts, sausage, and maybe a batch of jerky or two. Hopefully, I can learn a lot by reading the forums, and hopefully there will be plenty of trial and error, and some success. Once I get things figured out a little better, I will be sure to post some pictures of some of my smokes.

Welcome to the site. I've been to your neck of the woods in the 80's hunting pronghorn & mule deer at the Spearhead ranch in Douglass. Nice country. Drawing an elk tag was pretty slim back then & you had to be pretty good to get an elk.But since your state is crawling with antelope you should have plenty of good meat to smoke besides elk. I understand your trout streams are pretty good also!
Well anyway welcome!
