In need of a good thermometer

Thread Starter

Has anyone had great experience with a particular internal probe thermometer? I'm not lookin for any fancy remote nonsense, just a good probe that I can be confident with , therefore, avoiding opening the smoker to check the temp?

If you don't want a remote, how about this, or something like it?
