Question about temps on my GMG Daniel Boone

I have been smoking with it and grilling with It just fine. It seems though that it has a really bad hot spot over the burner and that the far end doesn't get anywhere close to as hot as the rest of the unit. Anyone else have this problem?

I have a DB & I don't have that problem..... How long ya had it & has it been doing this from the start ?

I hardly ever do anything with the far end. Usually just the left side. I did some wings the other night and the far side was taking way longer. While the one above the burner were just fine.

What about adding some bucks o it across the bottom? Is that with the hassle or not?
