I'm thinking about either one not sure I need some info on what u guys prefer on the mini wsm I'm limited to one rack but I like the look but el cheapo looks good to need advice on witch one to go on its about the same price I found a imusa pot for 21 bucks at Walmart

I love my mini.

Very fuel efficient and I have 2 racks.

Its almost set it and forget it unlike a ecb.

I have not tried a Mini WSM, but the folks around here swear by them, and vouch for there ease of operation. I have had an ECB, a Mecco actually and it was a major PITA to manage the heat and maintain temps. Doing it all over again it would be Mini WSM all the way...JJ

I ordered my self a pot from Walmart to create myself a mini! Read a lot about them and got a smokey joe sitting in garage not being used so I'll make a mini and join the club. Can't wait to get it next week! Then begin the build for it.

I wouldn't recommend a mini WSM to anyone. They sip fuel, hold temps so you never have to check on them, and make great Q. What smoker wants it that easy?

The main drawback I see to the Mini WSM is NOT HAVING ONE!!! So get that pot and start smoking!

Ahhh, the Old Days...I didn't know Squat about smoking. The only thing I ever Smoked at that time was Ribs. I would add SPOG and Bake them at 300° for 1 hour in the Oven. I used a foil covered pan with Water to steam them. They then went in the smoker with a way too big fire and Billowing White Smoke choking any one that got with in 10 feet of that little black demon. We thought they were ok but reaked of creosote and the excessive lighter fluid I drowned the Charcoal Briquettes in...JJ

I will be doing the same sometime soon. I love my uds but would love to have a mini version for small stuff. I started out with the ECB and it is out back full of dirt and flowers at the moment.

I'm happy my posts were helpful.  Looks like you did a fine job! Chicken looks awesome.  I love chicken on the mini. You'll find your new smoker very versatile. It does a great job on any meat.  But my personal favorite mini smoke is chicken.  Cant wait to see how the bird turned out!
