Hello BBQ friends I'm new to this forum and I just wanted to introduce myself. I enjoy cooking over low and slow fires and right now I'm smoking 2 briskets in my WSM 18 and I love this smoker. My wife has bought me a new smoker called an old country wagoner smoker if I got the name right, and I just wanted to know if this smoker is a good buy because I had mixed feelings about offsets being made from thin metal and problems with build quality especially if it is made in china. I don't have a grand to drop down on a horizon or reverse offset smoker so I would love to hear what others can say from experience with this offset smoker. Thanks

 to SMF!

I can't comment on your new smoker but, I too love the WSM!

Enjoy the briskets!

Hello and welcome from East Texas, congrats on the new smoker. Just remember its not the smoker that turns out great BBQ it's the one doing the smoking. I started out on a ECB (el-cheep-o-brinkman) turned out great BBQ on it for years. Be sure and post pictures of your briskets. Good luck
