Long time gas griller, long ago charcoal griller, long time electric smoker (jerky and fish). 

 

I came across Jeff's "Smoking Meat" book, read it, decided to do the real thing! A Weber Smokey Mountain just arrived. Now I only have to figure out where to put it on the patio!

 

Looking forward to learning a new art. Being an introvert, I probably won't post a whole lot, but be assured I'll be soaking up all of your posts, and gaining wisdom from your experiences!

Hey Grampa, hello and welcome from East Texas, Ask questions any time, post pictures of your smokes, everyone here is very friendly and enjoy seeing and reading about smokers, meat and a whole lot of other things.
