I wish they would have let us put In the burnt ends cause they were awesome. No pics of those though.
 
Why wouldn't they want burnt ends? It's still part of the brisket for Pete's sake! But then I have seen a pork cook-off where the meat had to be sliced and not pulled. When I saw that in the rules I decided not to enter and save my entry fee and grocery money for something fun.

When I ran dutch oven competitions, I was had in the rules no extra stuff like greens etc. unless it was part of the entry-basically if it isn't meant to be et' leave it off the lid.
 
I dont know it was a IBCA sanctioned event kinda odd I thought. They also wanted the ribs parallel in the box and a total of 9 which threw us off as well. Messed up the whole look of the box.
