Hey all, I've been wanting to build a smoker for years but time and money all ways seemed to get in the way. Went garage selling with the wife and bought what I now think to be an air compressor tank that was hacked into a grill. I thought it was a lp tank, but now believe it's a 80 gal. compressor tank. Hope there's enough meat left to weld to after derusting it. I was a plumbing contractor for over 26 years when I had my 3rd stroke, that one took me out of the game now. As for metal skills, I cut my teeth welding in high school. The "right of passage" oxy-acetylene and stick was available then. Have a mig and plasma now, sold my tig a few years ago. This is a great site and will be frequenting it often.
