Good Day All,
I looked at a lot of the threads but I didn't find what I was looking for. I live in San Diego East County Area and I'm trying to find a good reliable INEXPENSIVE meat market/ Butcher shop. I find good deals at S+F, Vons, etc but I'm looking for a dependable supply. I've gone to Valley Farms in Spring Valley, great selection and can order anything but they are expensive. Some would say you get what you pay for but I'm looking for quality, knowledge and assistance without breaking the bank. Thanks for any info you can throw my way.

T & H meats in San Marcos is a good bet but they are also a bit on the expensive side.  I think Costco is a great alternative and the Restaurant supply Costco on Balboa and the 15 has some even better selection - although big high pound packages.

Restaurant Depot is always a good choice to look around and the pricing is pretty good but you need a membership or a friend that has one.

Keep looking at the smaller butchers like T & H and Valley Farms and start a relationship with the butcher.  You'll be surprised at the discounts and special deals you get if you are a good customer.  Sometimes it's worth paying a little more for some better cuts or cuts you can't get anywhere else.

I live in Chula Vista and I use Santa Fe meats on Main street, right of the 5. If they dont have it in the shop, they can get it within 24 hours. I went in the other day to get 6 boxes of their hot links for a fundraiser and walked out with two huge ham steaks as well. Grilled them up and drowned them in red eye gravy this morning!

Bishers in Poway is good too, but can be $$ on some cuts. They can get wild game as well
