I've had a couple good trial runs with my smoker now I think I'm happy with it. So whats the best paint to use? I'm going to sand blast it. I've heard a lot of good about rustolium hi temp but is there any way of getting a good glossy finish? I will be using a paint gun so 2~3 coats?? another question you dont mess with sandblasting or painting the inside of cc do you? Just a good wipe down of oil? Thanks a million

Tried the Rustoleum high heat and also some other stuff sold at Autozone (they stock bbq paints there).

They've all burned off or just rusted through, especially on my firebox. Can't keep any paint on the firebox for more than a couple of uses.

Wonder if tractor enamel would do or if it'd gas off something nasty.

Your smoker needs a mod or two.... Start a new thread with pics and stuff...... Dave

What kind of mods do I need? Thanks
