Hey to all you fellow smokers ! Just wanted to say hi to everyone, my name is Ryan, im 32 and I live in st.Louis, Missouri. Ive always loved grilling and decided on to start smoking meat. I purchased a Masterbuilt 30inch electric smoker to get my feet wet . Im starting with some country ribs that ive had rub on since this morning. I plan on using apple wood chip and not sure if I should use water or apple juice or nothing at all in the pan at the bottom ??? I can already see this turning into a huge hobby for me. Its an art in my opinion and you get to eat it in the end so its great ! Would love any help for my first smoke country ribs ! Hope to make some friends and learn all the ways to smoke ! ! !

Glad you found us Ryan! Lot's of good people on here willing to help out. As for the water pan, first wrap it in heavy duty foil to make clean up easier! Some folks will say to add liquid and some will say not to. Sometimes it depends on what you are smoking so try both ways and see what you like!
