Hey all, had a turkey in the freezer that needed used up due to getting a 1/2 of beef Monday..... so figured I'd introduce this turkey to what we all know round here as TBS ! But before I could arrange a proper meet & greet.... Soaked the turkey in Slaughterhouse brine for 18 hrs.

Thanks for lookin all

So after the brine bath, pulled it out....Rubbed down with peanut oil then put on some Lawry's garlic salt & fresh, coarse ground black peppercorns with the pepper mill..... Loosened the skin by the breast & put in 3/4 stick of butter cubed up !

I am in.

I see alot of beef cooks in your future.

Thanks cf, between the 1/2 beef & huntin season coming up in a few months, hoping to keep the freezers full !! Hoping for a lot of TBS to be rollin !

Awesome lookin Turkey!! Does the peanut oil help crisp up the skin? My father in law used to make them on his charcoal grill before he passed away and I have never been able to make a turkey that tasted as good as his, but will continue to try!

Hey Justin...lookin' good so far!  That bird is gonna be tasty Brother!:thumb1:
