First Salmon Smoke on my MGS30 (with pics)

Thread Starter

Well as much sucess as I've had with ribs on my MGS30 since christmas this winter, it was time for a good friday fish smoke.

Brined in 1 cup salt, 2 cups brown sugar for 90 min.

2 hours under the fan for the pelicle to form... now into the smoker.

The only thing I'm not real happy about, is that I can only get the MGS30 down to ~175deg.   That is door cracked open, flame on low, with a cast iron wood chip pan, and water pan above it.

Going to need a finer needle/seat adjustment mod to get it down any further.

Smoking in Apple wood chips, plan on putting some maple syrup glaze on here after about the 1st hour.   Cant wait!

Hey.  Where's the big finish?!  :police2:   Dizuster:  you had a great Q-View start, and then left us hanging.    I'm betting it was sooo good that you couldn't wait, ate the whole thing, before taking more pics.
