Hi everyone,

I'm a total noob when it comes to smokers, but yesterday I used my Masterbuilt Sportsman Elite propane for the first time. I smoked a salmon fillet using apple chips for 1.5 hours at 250F. I know, way too hot and way to fast for "traditional" smoked salmon. But I didn't have all day and it turned out quite tasty; the family loved it.

Anyway, thanks to everyone for all the suggestions regarding Masterbuilt propane smokers. I went straight to the cast iron skillet instead of the chip tray and it worked great!
