I have a 275 gallon oil tank that I am looking to make into a smoker. I would like to utilize a side fire box any pictures out there

Hey

Welcome to the Smoking  forum.   You’ll find great , friendly people here, all more than willing to answer any question you may have.  Just ask and you’ll get about 10 different answers—all right.  LOL.   Don’t forget to post qviews.     If you go back to the main list of forums, way down the list there is an entire forum on different smokers

Just curious if anyone can tell me the type of steel and thickness that they used for their fire box?

1/4 " on the fire box and everything else is what we do,  But on the fire box nothing less than 1/4"
