Hi : my name is Gaston (Gus).. and I have no experience with smokers, my grandson is 18 and loves fishing and hunting , he wanted to know if we could  build/buy  a smoker so we could preserve and  smoke  meats and fish. So I'm on a pilgrimage I joined to learn about smoking stuff  we all like the taste of smoked meats just never got into doing it before.. now that the grankids are getting older and are asking , I might as well encourage them..

I'm retired , live out in the countryside with my wife of 51 years , on three acres with a dozen chickens and 12 fishing rods..

looking forward to asking questions :-)
