Smoking Fanatic
Those ribs look just like I like them. And chops.. can't believe I have never smoked a plain chop. Good looking food and thanks for the inspiration.

Sorry I missed this, how did the smoke go?? I don't usually have a set time in my mind as to how long I have a piece of meat smoking. I never wrap ribs so they are in the smoke for the full 5 hours or so. Some people will put the ribs on a grill to crisp them up after they come off the smoker. I just like things as simple as possible. I use allrecipes frequently, a pretty good source for reliable recipes. Good luck to you
I am going to smoke back loin ribs today using apple wood. The rib bone already has been removed. Should I reduce smoke time since the ribs are gone? I have marinated the meat over night. Should I sear the meat on the grill before using smoker? Going to smoke some mac n cheese and make corn bread. If you haven't used allrecipe.com for some very good and easy recipes please do so. Have a great day everybody. the snow is finally gone in West Michigan and I can finally get smoker out again.
So glad you two enjoyed it. I drizzled honey on top and bottom and it was so incredible!! Didn't last long at all
WOW
made the cornbread last night with my back ribs and of coarse ..Dutch's Baked Beans again.
BEST cornbread ever. the wife loved it and so did i. had to dig around the storage room to find my big old cast iron skillet, reseasoned it and we were off to cornbread heaven.
Thanks again for the recipe

Give it a shot, I'm sure you'll be pleased. Old bay is a seafood seasoning (pretty sure its sold nationwide, if not, something's wrong). Here is a link for you http://www.oldbay.com/products/old-bay-seasoning.aspx I love it on almost everything. . . . eggs, boardwalk fries, chips, steaks, etcThat rack looks fantastic! I'll have to try it. Question though.... What is "Old Bay"?
