So I found a 25gal tank on Craigslist for $15.

This will make a Perfect Patio Reverse Flow Smoker, hence the thread title.
Let's see what I can come up with.
Any thoughts, comments, opinions, emotional outbursts are always welcome.

Time to clean off the tank of all the miscellaneous brackets and wheels.
A little work with the calculator and prior build experience, time to cut the firebox notch out.

I just picked up a 25 gal tank and will like to have any additional info as you go through the building process. I plan to remove all brackets tomorrow and clean the tank up. I am going to make an insulated firebox for this smoker.

Funny you say that, cause I'm going to do an insulated firebox also.

Had a long day and actually Got alot more done with the tank clean up and the figures I'll be working with. The drain in the bottom was the biggest pain filling in that 3" hole.

I'm to split this with a couple of posts so I can separate all the things being done.

Any questions just ask, this is going to be a fast build.

You will notice that I've decided to only insulate the top and sides of this firebox, I may be wrong but the majority of heat loss occurs from the top and sides.

Since I insulated the top of the firebox I just used the top as the beginning of my RF Plate.
