My name is Gene and I am the Fire Marshal for the City of Madison, Ga. I have been cooking and smoking on grills most of my life. I love the flavor and action of grilling or smoking. I build most of my own grills and smokers. A few of which I put on here. My latest is my vertical smoker built from a 80 gallon air compressor tank. It has an offset fire box with a heat deflector plate that acts similar to a reverse flow smoker. I have been on this website many times and have taken many ideas from it for my cookers. I receive Jeff's

Smoking Meats emails and love those as well. I look forward to being involved with this site.
