First time Smoking Pork spare Ribs this Saturday,

Going to smoke 2 racks of Pork Spare ribs in my offset Smoker Saturday, I have a bunch of Cherry wood, I was wondering if that wood would do the trick, also i am open to dry rub ideas Oh I will also be doing a beer can Chicken at the same time, any thought or tips would be much appreciated. Thanks

I like cherry on everything. Here is a link to Bilbo's rub which is very good. You need to adjust the cayenne to your taste.
