I discovered this site searching for information on rub and sauce recipes and found a wealth of information above and beyond that. I've been browsing for a few days and would really love to become part of the contributing community as my skill level and knowledge base grows.
To start with, I've literally never smoked any meat in my life. I'm a novice griller, but would really like to get into smoking - from pork butt to brisket and everything in between.
I will be purchasing my first smoker soon and can't wait to do my first cook. However; I'm not sure which one I'll be going for..nor do I have a budget in mind. But there's still time to decide that.
Hopefully, with all the information available here (and other places on the net) I'll be moderately successful...at least to the point where the food will be edible. I have already signed up for the "5 Day Smoking Basics eCourse" and look forward to delving into that bit 'o information.
And lastly, thank you to all the contributors of this forum. It's online communities such as these that make the internet such a wonderful place.
