Just made a long post about my first experience using a smoker, so I figured I'd stop by and say hello.

I'm a Weber fan (Genesis, Performer and Q220) but went with the Masterbuilt 30 for smoking, so far so good!

I'm 42, love hanging out with family, grilling, shooting (clays, paper, steel) and teach firearms training in Minnesota and surrounding areas.

Thanks for all the helpful information and I'm looking forward to learning more.

Glad to have you with us Chris. And a big ol' thanks from this former law dawg for teaching folks about firearms safety-I hope you classes also includes adults as well as the young'uns.

There is a large number of MES users here, so if you have any questions or problems with yours, plenty of folks can help you out.

Enjoy the Smoke!

Welcome aboard Thunder!  This seems to be THE week in MN......it's supposed to be close to 50 today.....I can't believe it!!

Yes, hard to believe it will be almost 100 degrees warmer than a month ago! Hahaha, loving it.

And yes, I teach both youth and adult classes... youth ones are dear to my heart so I do those free of charge, I feel it's extremely important. The other classes are mostly permit to carry with a focus on safety, laws, and aftermath.

Thanks for the welcome everyone!
