I just finished this build. It is my first and it was a fun challenge. I am not looking forward using it. Comments and questions are welcome.

Beautiful build!

How did you do the air intakes on the firebox? I couldn't tell from the pictures where you located them.
In the picture with the loaded log box, you can see the intake on the bottom of the firebox. I am not real happy with it and may go to a different, more precise, intake in the future

I am in Vail, I see you are in Sierra Vista. I actually bought this tank from a guy in Benson.

Just thinking out loud, you may want to try a ball valve at the end of the firebox dome if that is a standard pipe thread. If it is, it would be an easy experiment and provide a draft to the middle of the fire. Doesn't look like you are having any problems getting up to temperature so you may be OK unless you are getting a lot of variation during a cook.

All I can say is "Sweet build!" I really like that large flat surface on the top of your firebox-kind of reminds me of the top of Grandma's wood burning stove. The picture is see missing is the q-view of your maiden smoke.

There's a number of builds here that use the same type vents that you have-the only difference is that there is usually two sets of vents placed opposite each other and I only see one set of vents on the back side of the fire box. Adding a set to the front of your firebox doors would increase your fire control. Just my 2¢.

I wish I would have thought about that. I filled ll of the threaded bungs. Draw is great, maybe too great, although I wouldn't expect a cooker this size to be extremely efficient. I think I just need more time to figure it out, I would like to feed more fuel and get a little more time between fueling. To maintain 225-250, I am feeding a couple splits of pecan/oak every 30 minutes.

Nice build how long did it take you
I picked up the tank on February 7. I stressed about cutting it open for a couple of days, i brought my sheet of 1/4 inch steel home on Saturday Feb 15. Working on it after work and on the weekends it took about a month. Are you an Ag?

If you add vents, you may also think about adding one up higher as Dave and Rib have suggested  just a thought !   By the way nice build, looks good behind your truck.
