Hello,

Tonight the wife and kid were getting dinner and meeting one of her friends.  She does not like chicken with bones and son is still too young for wings right now.  I had a few hours to myself and needed dinner.  I like wings a lot and since getting a smoker I have made ribs, brisket, pork loin, sirloin tip roast, and whole chicken, but not wings.  I have seen quite a few posts on making wings and decided it would be a good time to make the wings.  I have seen the scarbelly wings posts and they looked very good.  I injected the wings with franks red hot sauce and tonys creole butter probably about 1:3/4 and then covered the outside with some of the remaining sauce, still had too much.  After the sauce I coated the outside with some rub I have been making, pretty much a basic rub; brown sugar, paprika, salt, pepper, garlic, onion, oregano, chili powder and a few other seasonings.  I let the wings sit while I got the smoker heated to 300 and used cherry wood for smoke.  The wings cooked for 2 hours on smoker and then finished on the grill as the skin was still a bit chewy.  After on the grill for about 3 min a side or so they were pretty tasty.  Thank you.
