Dueling Turkeys ! Exercise your right to vote!

Perhaps one of the most quintessential Sunday family dinners must be the Turkey. It ranks right up there with the noble Ham at my house.

I spied Fresh Turkeys at a pretty good price yesterday. They were in the 13 pound range... So I snatched 2 and quickly tossed them in the buggy!

The bride had seen the 2 gobblers in the fridge and challenged me to a turkey cook off. One smoked. And One traditional oven roasted.

And best of all we want the SMF gang to vote! Should be Fun.

Contestant Number 1:

Mrs. BD's Family Famous Traditional Oven Roasted Turkey fresh herb rub ,cracked red pepper and artesian bread stuffing.

Mrs. BD's Traditional Oven Roasted Turkey fresh herb rub ,cracked red pepper and artesian bread stuffing. Delicious!

Its really hard to make a fair assessment while not being able to taste The Boss's. I'm sorry but I think I would much prefer that artisan stuffing to smoked lemons and limes. So I am guessing you ate your turkey with her stuffing!

Looks to be a win/win all the way around as long as you remember who is in charge at the house. LOL......

Ya know I just checked my email too, no invitation!

All respect and due appreciation to Mrs. BD...but the color on your smoked bird is a thing of beauty! I will venture, however, that they BOTH tasted delicious.

We'll all I have to say is my missus makes darn good stuffing that never sees the turkey until that bird is sliced and on the plate. Since our whole family likes a smoked bird and I'm gonna have to vote for your bird BD! Good luck on the front lines!
