Does anyone out there own a King Griller Double Play with the side firebox?  It is made by Char Griller but seems that it is made with thicker steel.  It is very similar to the CG Duo in design.  It doesn't have the chimney extending out the top though.  I did make a chimney extension into the cooking chamber using a 4" starter collar used for air ducts.  I just bought the SFB a couple of months ago and so far I have only gotten around to seasoning it.  I'm going to try using a grilling wok as my charcoal basket for now until I make my own.  I'm also going to try flipping the charcoal tray and using it as my baffle and tuning plate.  I just ordered the Maverick ET-73 at Amazon for $37 which I thought was a good deal.  I will also be installing Therms at both ends of the grill near the grates.  BTW I learned all these tricks from snooping around SMFs forums.  Very helpful I might add so that's why I decided to join.  There a very noticeable gabs on the sides of the grill lid though which I think I will eventually mount L brackets and use oven rope to seal.  For now I will just try rapping aluminum foil.  So I guess I'm just looking for any pointers/advice.

Did my first dry run today in mid 20 degree weather with a light breeze. Used the minion method in a grilling wok. I was able to keep a temp between 215 and 235. I easily learned how my grill works in cold weather. Going to make some ribs on Saturday! Will qview some more

Getting close to Rib day !!!!
