Injected with scarbelly recipe and a dry rub on the outside. Warming up grill and getting ready to put it on!

That's gonna be a great bird! Love injecting birds ala Scarbelly style! Only thing better is to add blue cheese to the injection!

Just wondering do you normally burn the wings or leg ends? If so, at what temp do you smoke the chicken?

No, I do not normally burn them.  I thought I would do some experimentation....

 

I am trying to hold 250-275 on this smoke....

I can do a 15lb turkey at 275 and not burn 'em. You should be safe.

I will pull the foil off.

 

I can't wait to taste this, I have not done an injected chicken before - only the wings.  Normally I would just mop with BBQ sauce... Ala the chicken below....

A 6 lb. dressed bird is a healthy size chicken. It looks delicious. Good job.

You betcha it looks good.  That 1st pic of the

earlier burnt one - not so much.

Now some want a crispier skin - I'm doing one tomorrow and will try...
