Greetings fellow smokers!

Started out with an old brinkman electric smoker, the metal dome type, Model # 810-7090-S but found that in the cold weather it just didnt hold the heat very well so it gave me the idea of adding brquettes to the bottom pan where i put my smoke bombs.  OMG, a 6 hour smoke for a 12 pound turkey was epic beyond belief.  I used the heating element to head up the briquettes and shut it off as it reached the desired temp.  Added to the briquettes i made three smoke bombs filled with water to allow for mre smoke.  The results were amazing. One thing i didnt like about that model was it seemd to not make a good seal with the dome lid shit, so to help I wrapped aluminum foil around the edges to create a better seal.  Eventually the electric part died and relying on just charcol was a bit much, so I am about ready to order the Masterbuilt 30inch dual propane/charcol smoker from home depot for 179.99.  From the reviews I read this should produce a similar amount of smoke as my previous one and be able to utilize chacoal and propane to get the briquettes.  I just hope there is enough room to also make some smoke bombs too as I have had better results vs just laying the woodchips out.  I welcome any and all suggestions.
