Well another successful Superbowl! Ate way to much, got to watch our home(ish) team win, and spend the day relaxing with the family!

Spare ribs on the bottom rack, BBQ baked beans and bacon wrapped mushrooms and jalapeno's on the top. Soaking up the hickory smoke!

Beans and poppers pulled, ribs getting some sauce and soaking in the heat for another 2 hrs.

Ribs off the smoker - total of 5 hrs. at 250° bite tender, and pulled clean from the bone with just a little tug.

Beans, beans the magic fruit! The more you eat the more you..... :nono:

Bacony goodness! Sooooo gooood! :drool

Daughter re-heating a mushroom popper... lol

The puppy knows where the goods are!

The games MPP - Most Pathetic Puppy! LOL :laugh1:

Hope you all had as good a day as we did! Keep smokin! th_wsmsmile0ly.gif

Well, Denver didn't show up, Seattle did, and your MPP was the best part of the day!

The food looks awesome, Johnny!!!

Good looking daughter & great looking pup too!!!

The Super Bowl really stank!!  Your vittles had to make up for it !!!

Mrs Bear & I were really glad we watched the Kitty Bowl & the Puppy Bowl earlier in the day, because they were much better games.

The Kitty Bowl had a few too many penalties though:

Illegal use of the paws

Unnecessary Cuteness

Snacking on the field during play

Biting

Napping in the end zone

And attacking the Ref.

The Pups played Great too. The Pup "Loren" that got MVP of the Puppy Bowl scored 4 TDs, including a 105 yard sprint from end zone to end zone!!!

All things considered..... the fish ball and crackers, pork shots, cheese dip were great...... The game was good also.... at least it was refereed with integrity (compared with the Hawk's last Super Bowl appearance).... And the final score was perfect also considering the Hawks beat the Broncos 40 to 10 in their first meeting this year.....

When you keep doing the same thing and expect a different outcome..... there is a name for that.....

LOL... well for us in Oregon, Seattle is the closest thing we have to a "home" team when it comes to football, so we were rooting for the Hawks. My oldest daughter watched the puppy bowl as well, she loves dogs. The food was fantastic! Hopefully you guys got a bit of a break from the snow.... aren't Bears supposed to hibernate in the snow? lol

Yeah - we enjoyed the game... and all the smokey goodness of the food. Sounds like yours was a success as well!

I came out of hibernation just long enough to root for the Hawks.

I thought the Broncos would win, but I was rooting for the Seahawks, after the Iggles folded up.

It was still a lousy game.

Been snowing again here since 2:00 AM. Got about 9" so far.
