Building a propane smoker

Thread Starter
Been trying to use elec smokers and they wont get hot enough and are too small. And Im not trying to step on anybodys toes. Also have a sleep hollow #8. Its big enough but cant control heat for cold smoking. I mainly smoke summer sausage in the winter, and im talking about 200#. Plus all the brauts and other stuff. Anyway I could use some help with design and burners. My partner got a little ahead of me and went and bought 2 sheets of 1/4" plate. So we started today on the food box. Settled on 2'x2'x4' standing up. Will get pics tommorow. Dont think we will need to insulate? Trying to figure out the bottow to hold burners and water pan. Also a diffuser plate. Anybody seen a good design or idea? I know there are plenty of guys on here with a lot of ideas and proven designs. Thanks for listening. Trying to run between 100* and 240*
