I am not sure if you already know or not but a good sanding and couple of coats of high temp paint will keep your rig from rusting.

BTW build looks great

Looks good. How much space is between yourcooking grates? And the top grate and the door opening?

I have a 250 that I'm going to build out soon. Still in the design phase and was trying to figure out how much space I can get between the cook grates. I want to be able to get brisket and full pork butts on both grates with plenty of air circulation.

i ve got about 15 cm in between and around 20 cm above the upper grate

and good luck with your build

 some nice smoked pork shoulder

 smoked lamb

had it smoking for the first time the temp is holding one real good

when the rf plate is hot, i can open up the door for a while close it and the temp. go's back in blink of en eye

we'r rebuilding the trailer reducing it from 2.40m wide to 2m wide  and the smoker is ready to meat the sandblaster

a big pot of rustoleum is waiting patiently to cover the smoker  in black heat-resistant (700°c) paint

Thx the taste was good too (only used oak wood)
No I didn't finiche it hope to do this soon

Just need to find a location where I can paint him inside where its warm and dry

for the moment its rusty red

hope to sandblast and paint him soon

Man, that all looks great  ----  Points to you

Gary

thx Gary.

as u can see i got some room left in front of the smoker,

i'm thinking about placing a grill/rotisserie

i would like to make it so i can grill in the front and  have a pig (or something else) on the rotisserie in the back

a lid to close it all off so when roasting a pig the heat stays inside

u guy's have some ideas?
