Got some thighs marinading in a beer, some crab boil, lemon juice, woo sauce, hot sauce and Cajun seasoning.  Notice I say marinating and not brining.

It has no added salt or suger is not submersed and the marinade will be poored in a pot after the chicken is on the pit.  A stick of butter will be added and it will be simmered till it reduces by a third.  This kills any germs, thickens the sauce and maries the flavors.  More on that in the morning till then we gonna snuggle down and wait for the cold front to pass.

Those thighs will be kicking back but id take a plate once cooked

Cant wait to see the finished product.

Yea, WHEN WE DO THEM THIS WAY WITH THE MOP SUACE MADE FROM THE MARINADE THEY COME OUT LIKE SMOKED HOT WINGS, But we got the leg quarters for 50 cents a lb while the wings were 2.50$ a lb.  We use the left overs in stuff too they are great that way.

Nice lookin lil doggies in ya pic flash is the white one a Bichon??  I much prefer marinating to brining.  Not only that the marinate becomes the mop sauce and ya can't poor the brine in the yard cause it'll kill the grass.
