MES 30 SEASONING

HI,

I'm picking up my new MES 30 Sportsman Elite this weekend. I've been reading about Seasoning. Someone mentioned wiping it out and then before firing it up that you should put a light coat of veg. oil on the surfaces. The MES instructions don't say to do this. So, should I wipe it down with oil or not? Any help on this would be nice, Thanks,

Ive used cooking spray and is easier than wiping with oil IMO.
