All I want to know about the cold smoker attachment is, simply, what does it do? And how do you operate it? Thanks for the info on it. I just want to make sure if I get it that its going to help me while smoking.

I'm sorry that was a typo, I meant the cold smoke attachment. What is the purpose of it? I would like to get one if its a need or a good "just in case" item. If the cold smoke is neither than I won't bother getting it.

Allamerican boy the cold smoker attachment is for smoking stuff you have cure and all you want is the smoke flavor added its great for bacon ,cheese and I have seen butter and hard boiled eggs on here If I had the Texas I would eventually get one. I hope that helps

They offer the same attachment for my Louisianna Grill, and I'm dying to try and make my own bacon, but so far I haven't been able to get it past the finance committee (wife).  Love to try it though, different animal than bbq as it doesn't actually cook the food but I think it'd be a fun tool to learn in any event.
