I hate the ones from the Dollar Store.  Way too flimsy for me (at least what they carry around here.)   Samsclub sells a 30 pack of them for about $7.00 and they are much sturdier.  Price is cheap at less than $0.25 per pan.  They also sell lids that fit them.

When it comes time to pull, the pork goes right back into the pan and I cover it with a lid.
The dollar store up the street from us sells a tin foil pan with heavy chromed wire support and it forms handles.  You could and I have put a 12 lb roast into one of those, no problems whatsoever. These also come with a lid.  Cost $2.00/pan

I use a roaster rack I got from weber. It doubles as a rib rack if you flip it over. The right size water pan allows it to nest inside so when it's done I just haul the whole thing inside.

Nice.  I'm too cheap to spend $2 per pan :)

I'm the oddball, I use steamer pans and rarely ever use foil pans.

Squib , I don't think you're odd (at least not for that reason  )
I wish I had a couple of nice steamer pans like that. I would use them for sure. I think I have to keep an eye out on CL , or maybe a garage sale and get me one or two.

You can pick them up at sams club, the deeper ones are for the water part of the steamer pan but I use both, they really come in handy when you only have one free hand to move them around.

I always use the disposable pans, but I  never throw them away until I catch all those luscious drippings. It keeps the smoker clean and provides some mighty fine flavoring for other dishes.
