New Orleans
Hi, Folks!

Jim from New Orleans here. I grew up in Memphis and participated in the Memphis Barbecue Festival competition on a team. I think my major responsibility was toting wood and keeping our alcohol consumption up to par. I've always been a grillmeister; but, haven't tried smoking until the last year or so with satisfactory, but mediocre, results on a few items. So, I am pleased to have access to all of the "Pros from Dover" on this site and learning a bunch of new smoking tricks. I have a 30" Masterbuilt electric smoker situated on a brick New Orleans-style courtyard behind my side-hall shotgun house in the Bywater.

Welcome to the group Jim!  You'll find that this is a great place to share ideas on smoking, grilling, etc.  There are plenty of folks here who genuinely enjoy helping one another.  Looking forward to your input, and just ask when you need anything...someone here will surely have the answer.
