Hello,

I smoked this chicken using Jeff' Phillips directions and recipe for Cranberry - Bacon Butter - Smoked Turkey.  Since the chicken was only 5.65 pounds I had to adjust the brine time, ingredients etc...

Everyone said it was the best chicken they have ever tasted.  Since this went so well, next will be the turkey for Thanksgiving.

Friends told me the Chicken was severed up sided down.  Is that the Case?  Plus any other suggestions would be great.

Thanks,

Scott

As for a suggestion, try a beer can chicken. When I make it that way I don't even bother to brine, it always comes out very moist. Try pulling the meat too for pulled chicken sandwiches.

Anytime, and that's the best part of beer can chicken! Just be aware of some of the warnings people are making now for using a beer or soda can, then make your own decision.
I did one 2 weeks ago and pulled the chicken for sandwiches. After the meat was pulled, I coated it with Soflaquers Carolina Mustard sauce (the link is below). I mixed the sauce with honey and tossed it in the chicken. It was awesome!
Good luck with whatever you decide to do and feel free to ask if you get stuck.

Where would I find that recipe for cranberry bacon butter? I put it in the search window and got 20,873 results. Yours was the only one that had those three words that I saw, don't have time to go through them all...

Thanks
