I'm in Indianapolis. I bought a Masterbuilt electric cabinet style smoker in August 2013 and so far so good. It doesn't seem like you have to spend a bunch to get good results. I come from a cooking family with two brothers that are real chefs. I'm not afraid of the complex stuff but I bought this for the ease of prepping a weeks worth of delicious meet at a time for my family of 5 (teenage girls can put down some food, believe me). I'm committed to making quality fresh food at home. I'm trying to do the Paleo style of eating as much as possible so this was part of the plan.
