Hey, my name is Jeff. Excited to jump in the BBQ world from this vantage point after being a consumer for years.  Just got an offset smoker from a local company and have smoked the last three weekends with results that were ok but with plenty of room for improvement. That's why I've jumped in here to learn from you veterans. Pork ribs are my favs but have given a shot at salmon, sausage, chicken, turkey, and a brisket so far.

Welcome aboard Jeff!  This is the best place I know for sharing ideas on smoking, grilling, curing, etc.  There are plenty of friendly, knowledgeable folks who really enjoy helping one another.  Looking forward to your input here, and just ask when you need anything...someone here will surely have the answer.

Another Texan.

Welcome aboard!

Always thankful for how Texans treated our military back in my early days!

Good luck and good smoking.
