Greetings from Ontario

Just realized I actually posted in someone elses welcome thread, so I'll copy and paste this into here.....

Hi all, I lurk on this forum occasionally to get recipes, or techniques to smoke something on my gas BBQ. I am currently living in Eastern Ontario, originally from BC. I want to get into making and smoking sausages(venison in particular) as it is near impossible to find anyone locally, and being in the Canadian Army, I can't be finding someone new every time I get posted.

Other than what I do on the BBQ, I don't have any experience smoking. Anyways hope to get some more good info from the site. I've started going through the smoker reviews, wow, so many choices....

Thanks for the welcome everyone, looks like I have the wife  convinced to buy the supplies to build a smoker, so I guess I'll have to study some plans. I've been eyeballing these ones for a while... any thoughts?

my main concerns are that I want to keep it portable, and I want to primarily get into sausage...
