Well just finished up my new UDS. Rack is 4in from top, charcoal basket is 9in tall by 18 in wide. Had my buddy weld 3 3/4in nipples in with two capped and one ball valve the welding was a lot sturdier than my previous job of jb weld lol. Burned the drum out before i left to go on leave but when i got back it was nice and rusty inside and out. So i sanded down both. Seasoned with pam last night used a whole 16lb bag of charcoal with apple chunks in it. Lid is pretty bad because its from my old UDS. But love these things and can't wait to do first smoke tomorrow with this bad boy. Want to add some handles for easy moving and a pizza pan on bottom of charcoal basket for easy remove of ashes. But will get to that later. Thanks for looking.

Hello brg.  Now you  KNOW I am going to have to poke a little fun my friend.  JB weld???? At least you didn't use super-glue.

I do understand.  Gotta do what ya gotta do.  I am glad you got that bad boy ready to smoke some great meals.  AND I am glad I didn't have to deliver any more bad news to you.  Improvise, adapt!  Keep Smokin!

Haha i know jb weld was terrible but thats all i had at that point. The jb weld broke twice to lol. But now its nice and tight. I need to find one of those locking rings for the lid. So i can keep the smoke from coming out of the lid. thanks everyone for the compliments.
