Hi. I'm a long time grilling fan, short time smoker. I have a 12 year old Char Griller gas grill that I'd have a hard time replacing. I have a Weber Performer that the wife and son got me about 8 years ago. I have a Smokey Joe that my brother gave me, and just recently the wife, son, and daughter in law got me an 18" WSM to replace my worn out electric smoker. It's like having a barbecue hat trick. I've cooked everything from burgers to pies on my grills, and seriously can't get enough.
Now that winter is stalking us in Youngstown I see a lot of people putting their grills away for the season, my family doesn't have a grilling season. I have a section of my garage that is dedicated for my grills, and I don't stop using them just because I have to trade in my crocks for boots.
Tonight I'm pulling out the Performer, and cooking some western cut ribs with Weber Sweet N Tangy rub, baked barbecued sriracha beans in a cast iron skillet, and some jalapeno cornbread. I just finished making a couple of gallons of apple pie, but that's not going to be cooled off enough to drink while I'm cooking, so it's going to be Morgans and diet coke for tonight.
I'm here to see what else everyone else is up to, and pick up any tricks and tips I can get.
