First off I wanna say these forums have enabled my addiction to smoking. Haha awesome tips and advise for anyone wanting to smoke awesome meals for family and friends because that's what it's all about. That and there's nothing like getting up early with a cup of coffee or whatever your poison is and getting a smoke ready! It started when I decided I would try to smoke something on my Weber Kettle last year for an OU game last year (BOOMER!) and that was a beer can chicken/drunken chicken and everyone that came over said it was the best they ever had... I thought maybe they were just being polite, but the chiken was demolished in no time! So that started it all for me! I've always have been interrested in smoking but If I was gonna start learning I needed to do it right! I own a Weber Kettle, Weber Genesis, and my baby a WSM 22". I've smoked a whole turkey( that was a fun one), a few rack of ribs, pork loin, chicken quarters, whole chicken drunken style, and many boudains and andouille sausages! I'm actually doing a turkey breast for the Sooner/Baylor game this Thursday with my two days off and I'm pretty pumped about that! I'm anxious to try to big league smokes very soon With the briskest, rib roasts/prime rib, pork butts, meats like that! I'm a little hesitant just because I don't want to mess up a good piece of meat [emoji]128176[/emoji]. Y'all keep up the awesome threads and I look for ward to becoming a better more experienced smoker!

Welcome aboard from another Oklahoman!  You've found the best place I know for sharing ideas on smoking, grilling, curing, etc.  There are plenty of friendly, knowledgeable folks here who really enjoy helping one another.  Looking forward to your input here, and just ask when you need anything...someone here will surely have the answer.
