If it was for me I would like the outside shelf to be counter height or 3' then where ever the cooking grate ends up will be fine and I will live with it.
I plan on the cooking grate to be about 1.5 inches higher than the serving shelf, I will need that for the door and flange . Most counters are 32" or 34", I was just wondering if it shouldnt be a bit higher. What are most gas grills at?
I guess it really all depends on how call you are. I am 64 and find that a 3234 inch counter is just a little too low for me. When I make mine I think I will make the shelf probably 36 may be 38 inches of depends. I guess the best thing to do is stand at your kitchen counter and figure out if you think that feels good to you.
The kitchen counter is a tad too low for me, back will start bothering me after a while, so I get a tall chair and sit down. But I dont want the heat from the cooker going right in my face, and the door will be easier to lift if its lower. ??? Anybody got one this size that has any input as to how they like the height? Sqwib, how high is yours?
Ahhh the good thing about living in the Lower 48. I was going to get this same setup delivered to mebut there was a $94 shipping fee. Needless to say I passed on that!
I was wondering how honest a guy you are so here is the test question. On the left side of your tailgate latch you have a camera! So after you get your build completed and pull up to a stoplight are you going to shift into reverse so you can look at it in the mirror? Remember ya gotta be honest...
Oh by the way I may copy that trailer.
RW Make your stack removable Just a thought. I've see pictures of your work and you are a great fabricator, and I know you like trying new things out. May be worth a try. Good thing about a cut off wheel, torch and welding machine .
